Street which exists

If you open up your favourite web mapping platform, choose Saint-Petesrburg and zoom in the Eastern Part of it, you can find Bratskaya and Lesoparkovaya streets (Братская и Лесопарковая улицы). And they are not what I'm talking about.

Chances are, you'll also find Bryanskaya (Брянская) street between them. You'll find it on Western maps:

At least one Russian resource also insists on this street existing:

Until it doesn't

TopPlan is, however, not what an average person uses. Let's open Yandex Maps.

Oh. Ok. It seems like Yandex disagrees. Maybe we should just the authoritative source? The official land cadaster?

Not here either. But why? Is it a government cover-up? Let's ask OpenStreetMap.

Note in Russian says that there is no Bryanskaya street in Saint-Petersburg. Duh?

So, does it?

Tl;dr, the road exists, but it does not have an official name. Buildings on it have addresses on Bratskaya or Lesoparkovaya streets instead.

To the best of my knowledge, this toponym was first seen on an unofficial Saint-Petersburg map of 1993. Leningrad map of 1988 doesn't have it. It could be a mistake, could be a copyright trap, but in any case, now it exists in large amounts of maps, probably copying this information from each other.

1993 map published by retromap.ru, where I looked it up, is attributed to "AO Karta ltd" (АО Карта лтд), essentially, "Map Ltd"/"Karte GmbH", which I don't feel like even trying to trace nowadays because of how many of such corporations were created and bankrupted in the 1990s.
